Applied Corporate Finance – Real Companies, Real Data, Real Time
"I'm so happy that I joined this programme but am so sad that it's
the last day and it will end soon. I also can't wait to go back to the
office to put into place all that I had learnt into my work."
The Asian Banking School was pleased to host this year’s programme by internationally renowned Professor Aswath Damodaran on Applied Corporate Finance from 5-6 December 2017 at Sasana Kijang, Kuala Lumpur. Jointly organized with the Malaysian Investment Banking Association (MIBA), it provided the over 200 participants who attended with the tools and techniques developed to answer corporate finance questions, and how best to apply them in practice. The programme also looked at the big picture of corporate finance, the inter-relationship between corporate financial decisions and how these decisions affect the value of a business. There were opportunities to gain insights, exchange views, network and share experiences on the latest thinking and practice from the valuation guru himself.

Professor Aswath Damodaran is the Kershner Family Chair Professor of Finance at the Stern School of Business at New  York University, and teaches the corporate finance and valuation courses in the MBA programme there. He is well  regarded as the author of several widely used academic and practitioner texts on Valuation, Corporate Finance and Investment Management and is often quoted on the subject of valuation. He is also known as being a resource on valuation and analysis to investment banks on Wall Street. He has received numerous teaching awards over the years and was profiled in Business Week as one of the top twelve business school professors in the U.S. in 1994. He was elected as the most popular business school professor in the U.S. by MBA students across the country in a 2011 survey
by Business Week and was chosen as one of the top ten business school professors in the world in 2012.
