The Asian Banking School (ABS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Dr. Manivanan Saman as its Chief Executive Officer, effective 2 January 2025.

With over 28 years of exemplary experience in education and leadership, Dr. Manivanan Saman has established a distinguished career both locally and internationally. His notable roles include serving as Vice Chancellor of a prominent private international university in Malaysia, Executive Group Dean and Director of Development at a leading private institution in Myanmar and holding various key leadership positions across esteemed educational organizations worldwide. Throughout his career, Dr. Manivanan has spearheaded transformative initiatives in collaboration with accreditation bodies and universities from the UK, Australia, Europe, India, and China, leaving a lasting impact on the global education landscape.

A respected figure in Malaysia’s private education sector, Dr. Manivanan has played a critical role in advancing the industry. As an active member of the National Association of Private Educational Institutions (NAPEI), he has worked in close partnership with the Ministry of Education (MOE) to enhance education standards and foster the growth of private educational institutions in Malaysia.
